I am finally offering my very first Marquetry piece for sale. This piece is
measures 11-1/2” [29.21cm] x 9-1/2" [24.13cm] and is the only piece
in my collection that was produced f4om a Pattern which is the
method of choice for most marquetarians.
It was sanded flat with 600 grit, had 4 coats of shellac sanding
sealer and sanded with 1500 grit paper. Finally polished using
Renaissance wax. It was 100% scalpel cut.
It was presented at the Arizona Association of fine Woodworkers
Excellence in Woodworking Show in 2010 and won first place in class.
