"Lost Spirit" Navaho/Pueblo Urn |
This Urn is my Pièce de résistance at present.
It is 14" high, 11"
across and sports three feature rings.
The Large Feature ring consists
of 10 'Port Holes'
designed to show off individual 'Marquetry' style,
sun rise art work, each of which is different.
The upper and lower
feature rings are 'Sun Rise'
rings with 12 segments in each.
This
segmented urn is made from African Mahogany,
sealed and polished with
Carnauba Wax .
There are 1256 separate pieces in this work.

The Brandy Glass Series |
|
These pieces are as varied in art work as they are in color. The ones
shown are from the Zigzag Style and sport Sarari, Purple Heart,
Bloodwood, and Wenge rare woods from Brazil and Africa.
Other styles include Sunrise, Indian Blanket and the classic Greco/Roman
Wave. There are 301 separate pieces in this work.

7" Segmented Bowl series |
This standard 7" segmented bowl makes a statement in
simplicity. Its clean lines come from the 4 rings each with a close
packed, 12 segments each. They are trimmed with rare woods and finely
polished with Carnauba wax. There are 109 separate pieces in this work.

Grecian Urn series |
|
These Urns are real conversation piece. This work of art is made out of
Rare woods, stands 7" high. The one shown is Latin American Purple Heart and Maple. The
Greco/Roman feature ring is Brazilian Blood Wood and Maple. There are
172 separate pieces in this work.

Bowls with Lid pieces |
These eye catching pieces made in
a variety of wood combinations. They are 7"
diameter, sporting 3 rings each of which has 12 segments. The rings are
highlighted with 1/32" dyed veneer. The lids are tenoned to capture the
bases and made as a match pair to the bowls.
The Bowl top left is African Jacaranda with orange dyed veneer. It is trimmed
with Latin American Blood Wood
The lower one is Maple with black veneer, and is trimmed with African Wenge.

The Rare Wood 7" Bowls |
|
These special, standard, bowls are
unique and one offs. They normally are made
of rare wood and may or may not sport a machined base.
The one to the left is made of African Wenge, trimmed with Maple. The
turned base has been machined to show 4 feet. There are 60 separate
pieces in this work.

Bud or Rose Vase |
These bud/rose vases were designed specifically for Valentines Day, however they have turned
out to be a very popular gift for any occasion throughout the year. They
are made from many different rare woods, and are complete with
artificial rose. There are 153 separate pieces in each vase.
