A must when you visit York. 'The Shambles’ is a term used for the maze of twisting, narrow lanes which make York so charming. At its heart is the lane actually called the Shambles, arguably the best preserved medieval street in the world. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book of William the Conqueror in 1086. Many of the buildings on the street today date back to the late fourteenth and fifteenth century (around 1350-1475).
This is a miniature and measures only 2.9" (7.4cm) x 3.9" (9.9cm), scalpel cut and was finished with 3 coat of sanding sealer, then 3 coats of gloss poly.
Final polish used was Renaissance wax.
