This magnificent Trinket Box is a joint creation of Bruce Broussard,
master woodworker and Ernest Mills, Marquetarian extraordinaire. It measures 8.50" (21.59cm) x 5.15 (13.08cm) x 3.20" (8.13cm) The sand shaded white rose, of holly and sycamore with dyed green leaves is set into a Walnut Burl bordered with a triple border of holy-black dyed-holy veneer, bordered by a walnut frame. It has 5 coats of sanding sealer sanded to 1500 grit and 2 coats of polyurethane gloss varnish with a final coat of poly gloss wipe-on. It was finished with a polish using Renaissance Wax. |
