Lincoln is a city in Logan County, Illinois, United States. It is the only town in the United States that was named for Abraham Lincoln before he became president; he practiced law there from 1847 to 1859. three colleges and two prisons. The three colleges are Lincoln College, Lincoln Christian University, and Heartland Community College. It is also the home of the world's largest covered wagon.
This piece measures 14” (35.6 cm) x 7.9" (20.1 cm) and was pressed onto a piece of ¼” MDF board, and backed by a single piece of mahogany veneer. It was sanded with 120 grid then 3 coats of sanding sealer were applied. Between each application the surface was wet and dry sanded with 600 grid using a flat steel block. It was finished with 3 coats of wipe on Gloss polyurethane varnish, 1 coat of satin polyurethane varnish and finally polished with Renaissance wax. It is all Scalpel cut.
